My intial thoughts about this shifter adapter was that it felt strange. The shifter felt almost alien to me after I tried it right after the install. Shift throw felt WAY shorter and in slightly different locations over stock, and it took a lil bit of time to teach myself where each gear falls into place.
But, after playing with shifting hard for a few days, I could click into gears as if I never had the adapter, no problem. With the addition of the Turcite bushings, the shifter felt like it just glided through the gears with each shift.
This is a great upgrade for anyone who wants to change the way their car feels, for the better. It made driving my car a whole lot more fun.

I installed the short shift, megalodon shift knob, and the Turcite bushings on my 05' Spec V.
All I have to say is this is how the shifter should have come from the factory, it is the shit. I'm skeptical of short shifters because I have a few friends that put them on different cars and in my opinion, don't tell my friends lol, they've all been pure gimmicks. Sure, the shifts on these setups are shorter but they feel like shit. So it took me a long time to buy this one. But this one is spectacular! Not only are the shifts shorter, but this kit dramatically improves all aspects of shifting. Your car will even go into reverse with no fuss at all. Before it felt like I had to be deliberate with the shifts and "dig" for it, especially with reverse. No more.

I felt it was a bit overpriced but after doing some research into Turcite it turns out this material is not cheap. It's very well engineered. I purchased the kit during black friday sale and it was well worth it. Everything came labled and there was a nice surprise with it. A cool 2j Racing wrist band!
After install the TCB & LCB bushing had a little bit of play in them even with the stock spacers but was easily remedied with some slim spacers until snug. Make sure you use red Loctite on the nut securing ISB and don't over tighten. I had blue laying around and tried it but the nut kept coming loose. After corrections the product lived up to its reviews. Also it eliminated the play in the shifter caused by worn OEM bushings.
