- I bought this stage one kit as preventative maintenance while replacing the engine, no lightened flywheel, just the clutch. The clutch is noticeably stiffer than stock, but it is so much more fun to drive with. Down shifting into corners is much quicker and easier with the short pedal travel, 20% increase in smiles per gallon. If you are between a stock clutch and this kit, go with this kit. - Coupled with the lighter pulley wheels, the engine just wants to pull and rev so much quicker, now that I've knocked off half the weight from the flywheel! Really difficult to not run through the gears, and dropping down a gear is so much more enjoyable as the engine seems to respond better too.
