I've had this on my car for about 6 months. Never thought to check the legitimacy of the 304ss claim until earlier this week. My 3" midpipe I got from 2J is ACTUALLY stainless. The magnet had no attraction to any of the piping or resonators, yet did not want to be pulled away from my header or midpipe, or any other steel parts as you would expect. I purchased this exhaust for the sound, and on that point, it delivers.
